So I want to try slacker out, but it is not blind friendly because of all the flash I am guessing. Is there a way to make it so I can use a mobile app on my computer to play or view the player? The reason I ask this is because pages in mobile can't have flash therefore it is easier for my reader to read. Thanks for any info.

If a hyperlink points to a specific station, then following the hyperlink will cause the flash-based Slacker website to play the station without user interaction. So use google to find such hyperlinks.

These google results should play when followed...

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:slacker.com+index_embed&filter=0

These google results would take an extra step...

http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=prog"
http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=stations"

Refine that with a genre or artist, for example...

http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=prog"+"country"
http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=stations"+"country"
http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=prog"+"Marvin Gaye"
http://www.google.com/search?q="slacker.com"+"sid=stations"+"Marvin Gaye"

There's more hyperlinks in the threads in this forum...

Good luck!

Bump cuz I stumbled on another way to cause the flash-based Slacker website to play a station without user interaction...

Think of any song or artist or album. Then go to the website that would correspond, using these URL examples for guidance:

http://www.slacker.com/artist/mobb-deep/stations
http://www.slacker.com/song/miranda-lambert/white-liar/stations
http://www.slacker.com/album/pink-floyd/dark-side-of-the-moon/stations

Note the artist goes first. Anything you can think of should work as a valid URL if you spell correctly. I also successfully tested with spaces instead of hyphens.

Actually, for the first album I tried, Slacker thought I intended for a playlist. I use a free account so it presents me with a flash-based dialog and then I click "Play Station" to begin playing. I checked the box to remember this preference, so thereafter all the URLs worked without user interaction. Its a neat trick cuz in limited testing it always played a song from the specific album first. Then a couple songs from similar artists, then another song from the album.

Dunno if the OP's still around, hopefully.

Mobb Deep stations on Slacker Personal Radio
Revolution by Miranda Lambert on Slacker Personal Radio
The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd on Slacker Personal Radio

More good tips. Thanks!
