Back on topic, Lebron is backing off from his statement that he will be in the slam dunk contest next year. He said he would recruit some others as well if a few things are changed = no more than two or three tries for a dunk. The 10+ efforts that are allowed now slow things down too much. If you can't get it in two or three, stop trying. Also remove the requirement for props and/or a helper. If you don't want/need to use 'em, why be forced to do so?

It would be nice to see the dunk contest back to what it was early on, when Larry Nance was dunking two balls at once, Dominique was doing the windmills, and Mike was doing his thing.

Unless you make it worth their while ($$$$$), the big name superstars aren't going to compete in the dunk contest anymore.

And I agree...do away with the mandatory props/teammates rule. It's dumb.

That's actually a picture of a Hoedown at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland...:right:

As you can see, Kobe has one leg crossing the other and hands on hips, while LaBron is doing the one-hand-behind-the-head elbow swing...

So maybe AJII has a thing for square dancing...
