So I've been talking with XM to look for some kind of deal and they continuously say the prices are so much higher now because of the music royalty fees. Then they admit that those fees are only about $1/month per subscription. The prices have increased WAAAAYYY more than $12/year. I was just quoted $350 for 2 radios for a year.

I got $77/year for the XMp3 player. What do they say about that?

they are lying to their customers IMO. They have had no problems with royalty for how many years now?

All of a sudden, AFTER they create a monopoly, they have new fees....

It's the chicken or the egg. Did the merger create MRFs? Or did the RIAA get pissyand create MRFs BECAUSE of the merger?

They know they have all of us as suckers.

If we weren't happy with the service, we'd cancel, right? Yet, we don't cancel.

$29.16 a month? Is that right? Does that include $2.99 streaming on either of
the radios?

Just curious since coming up soon I'll probably be switching 2 subs from Sirius to
XM and that seems about what I'm paying for now, but with streaming on one of
the radios.

Without streaming, XM with best of Sirius from XM is about $330/year for 2 radios.
