Bloody Roots of Morbid Angel
Sat 6/11 @ 6:00 pm ET
Morbid Angel pioneered death metal in the sticky American South during the 1980s. Under the intense musical direction of guitarist Trey Azagthoth, they brought unholy extreme metal to a worldwide mainstream audience. They shed many members along the way, touching the legacy of bands including Terrorizer, Nocturnus, Genitorturers, and Hate Eternal. Now Morbid Angel has released Illud Divinum Insanus, its first effort in 16 years with classic singer David Vincent. Bloody Roots examines past and present phases of this visionary metal squadron. Golden Gods Week
All week starting Mon. 4/16 at 4 pm ET until Sat. 4/21 at 3 am ET
Liquid Metal once again teams up with Revolver Magazine to present Golden Gods Week, which brings you the best moments from backstage and on the “Black Carpet†from hard rock and heavy metal’s biggest night: the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards! On location in downtown Los Angeles at Club Nokia, SiriusXM host Jose Mangin got a chance to hang with some of Metal’s bad asses that were on hand celebrating the awards show. You’ll hear audio evidence from these random encounters, plus music from the artists featured.

Recap from contactmusic.com:
Johnny Depp Joins Marilyn Manson Onstage At Golden God Awards
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was a surprise performer at the Golden Gods Awards show on Wednesday night (11Apr12) as he took to the stage with shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
The Revolver magazine prizegiving took place at the Club Nokia venue in Los Angeles and featured a closing set by Manson, who performed with Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen before introducing Depp to the stage.
The actor, who began his career in music before turning to Hollywood, thrilled the crowd by playing guitar with Manson on his cover of the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams and hit track The Beautiful People.
During the show, Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx was presented with the Paul Gray Best Bassist prize, named in honour of the late Slipknot musician who died in 2010, and former Guns N' Roses star Slash was named Riff Lord.
Slash also put in one of the night's most memorable performances by taking to the stage with rock legend Alice Cooper for a rendition of School's Out.
The guitarist subsequently wrote in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Now, that was a kick a** event! Fn' (f**king) great people/artists representing everywhere u (sic) turned. Good fn' (f**king) times! & thanks for the honour!"
Other winners included Slipknot (Comeback of the Year) and Evanescence star Amy Lee (Best Vocalist), while Korn won Album of the Year for The Path of Totality.
The ceremony's special Golden God prize went to Kiss rocker Gene Simmons, who called the trophy "an honour and privilege", while Jack Black's band Tenacious D presented the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award to Canadian stars Rush.
Black told the crowd, "Can anyone imagine a world without (Rush song) Tom Sawyer? These songs and many others have become part of our collective Dna. They either inspired you enough to pick up an instrument and practice like hell...", before his bandmate Kyle Gass added: "Or, let's be honest, disco
