I had a roommate from Portugal when I was in college (meaning he just arrived in the US). He literally could not eat most of the food sold in Houston restaurants because it made him sick. His body wasn't used to the amount of fat/grease that we eat in our diets.

Public restrooms are a great place to find love. That's why they don't exist here :)

We do waste food. Lots of it. We have lots of poor people, but if they get sick from donated food, they can sue the person that gave them the food :right:

This.

I read it in one of my bathrooms on one of my iPads.
(Sadly true.)

I have to admit that it's really some spot on observations.
Merikins don't appreciate what we have, how much of it we don't really need, and what the rest of the world is like.

That poor people and poverty can exist here, like it does everywhere. Thing is legal immigrants are only are poor for a generation or two.

If that was true we could wipe out poverty by making all immigrants legal.

But it isn't true.
