I signed up for the free trial of the online XM player this morning to tick off a co-worker and XM subscriber who forgot his password. Anyway, I am green with envy, it's a way better layout than the craptastic Sirius one. Better layout, presets, plus it's just plain easy on the eyes. Grrrrr......

It may look better, but this is all about audio. Does it sound better? Sirius premium streams at 128kbs. I think XM only streams at 32kbs.

XM's regular stream sounds better than Sirius' regular stream. Of course the premium is going to sound better, but I ain't paying for a online feed.

Maybe soon, there will be one kick ass player for both. :)

I only use internet radio at work when I don't bring in my stiletto 2, and my speakers are just pc speakers, and at a low level, so I don't notice the levels of quality.

XM streams at 64kbs. Sirius non-premeium is 32kbs.

I don't think either non-premium stream sounds good.

Yes, I always thought the presets were nice. My favorite was the UPOP preset.
