now of course thats way out from hitting florida but if it stays on that track the 2am monday dot is pretty much a direct hit on boca. its been awhile since we had any kind of real storm here. lets see if this is the one that breaks that streak. i kinda like hurricanes. i have the shutters for my windows and i live in a huge building that i know wont be knocked down so, without any real worry about damage i think they are somewhat fun.

well its been 24 hours and not it looks like the track had shifted a bit north and east. no longer a direct hit on south fl.

If you were going to wash JDHK's car, I would wait.

I love it when other people get severe weather. I say that having lived through two hurricanes, one of which left my front yard with about three feet of water in it, ruined two cars and was about an inch from coming in our front door.

Severe storms are much more fascinating at a distance.

Erika will miss Miami. It looks like it could go into the Gulf & track back on Florida around Tampa

a lot can happen between now and thurs/fri. as of right now it looks like at worst it will be right off the coast of my area.

24 hours later and the storm track has moved west a lot. looks like it will hit my area. its still too early to be worried but its more of a concern today than it was yesterday.

if it still looks bad tomorrow it will be time to run out and get some supplies.
