Me 4/10 . How about you guys ?

It started off pretty good, for me....

For first year or so, I'd say 8/10. It was a novelty.

Now, I'm around a 3/10.

I think I'm just outgrowing THSS.

Good question.

8/10.

Not sure what others were expecting, but I have been perfectly fine with the shows and the schedule. Usually my favorite parts are Howard and the gang just riffing and having fun. So despite the millionth appearance by Joan Rivers or whoever I am enjoying what I hear overall. I change channels or plug in my iPod when something comes on that I consider bail-worthy - something I've always done since the testicle radio days.

agree totally. I'd say 10/10. I was expecting another 5 years of the same Stern Show that I have always loved, and that's exactly what they delivered. I'm giving 10/10 because the new format lets me listen at my own convenience with minimal commercial interruption since I can make my own podcasts of the Sirius feed. I never have to miss any of the show and I don't have to figure out a way to keep an FM radio with me at all times (and the pause button on my ipod means that I don't have to miss anything when people bug me for stuff all day at work). I read all the complaints on here but I just don't hear all the stuff they complain about. Any mention of HTV becomes a thread about how the show is 5 hours of HTV commercials, any repeat appearances by friends of the show becomes a thread about how "the show can't get any good guests anymore", and any vacation day becomes a thread about how Howard is a douche for taking the vacation time he negotiated in his contract.

Heck, maybe I like it so much because the ipod lets me skip the shit I don't like to hear (some guests, porn skanks, greg fitzsimmons, etc...). Back in the FM days I'd have to sit through that shit and miss all the good stuff while I was at work!

Canada Eh!
Being a new(er) fan I'd have to say 9/10 for me. Everything old to most people who complain about it on here is still new to me.

Except Joan Rivers ....

I'm more disappointed at the wasted opportunity of the promised revolution and the general apathy that comes across during his show most of the time.

There have been pockets of amusement and some great sound bites, but short of the longer format and the more comfortable language and discussion, I think the show has sabotaged itself by becoming the very type of show and performers it once derided. That and the fact that the news segment is an abortion almost always.

3/10....and I'm being generous.:bigcry:

The offer of a non-stop Howard channel is awesome. Really, whenever you want to listen, just turn it on and you're good.

If you have presets on all three bands (A, B, C) you can set your "jump" button to Howard 100, which is exactly what I did. No matter what preset i'm on (99.9999% of the time, it's A), I have the "Howard Stern button" right there.

The Wrap-Up show is a good idea.

I thought there'd be more promise with the special shows, but oh well.

Sirius took a shit on the Bubba deal...we don't need to re-visit that situation.

Ferrall is on fire every night. I just wish he'd do more Saturday shows and he should also have the ability to "go to overtime" in the case of a huge game out west that is still being played at midnight. Let him run past midnight when he desires. Let him "go to overtime."

10/10 compared to any talk show alternative

8/10 - Fridays suck but the 24-hour repeat is awesome. I can now catch most of the show now, unlike the K-Rock days.

For me it was a 10/10 to start. Howard and the gang uncensored is so much better than the K rock days. Plus hardly any commercials. That in itself made up for the no Fridays. Now I give it about a 8/10. It's still better than anything else out there. It just seems like Howard is ready to either retire or work less days. Some days it shows with his "anything else Robin" to get through the news quick.

The only thing I am pissed about is the list!!! You know the one that Howard had Gary keep with things they were going to talk about once they got to Sirius.

Plus hardly any commercials.

Yeah, this may actually push it up to a 9/10 for me now that I think about it. I work about 35 minutes from work, and there were days that I could spend more than half of my drive waiting for him to come back from commercials. It was nuts.

Some of my favorite shows in the KROCK days were when they were in Vegas. KLSX in LA would play the shows live as they taped in the afternoon and I was able to listen while driving home from work. Having the show on the radio during my afternoon drive was awesome. Now we get that every day if we want.

8/10 for me.

Being able to catch and listen to the show easier makes it better to catch up on all aspects of the show. Not nearly as involved in posting about the show before he came over to SIRIUS. Before it was something I would mention here and there, now I'm obsessed.
