It's no surprise that I really like Ice Cream Paintjob by Darrough.

I was actually trying to keep track of how many times it was played in Hip Hop Nation.

While listening to Sirius 40, I noticed that Lil' Wayne and Gucci Mane's We Steady Mobbin' plays a lot, too.

As a goof, I'm going to try to keep track of how many times I hear this song on Hip Hop Nation.

So far, on 10/31:

around 5:25pm

1923 (7:23p)

Yea that's gotta be like a 6 or 7 plays a day type of song right now. Hip hop goes in these cycles now, it's like a whole crapload of really bad songs all at once. And these songs tend to be popular which only compounds the problem.

Like the 15 to 20 plays a day of "Empire State of Mind"?

Uhhh, shudder the thought. Yea, there aren't a lot of good "popular" rap songs on satellite right now. I don't listen to the local "R&B/Rap hits" station around these parts anymore, so I'm not quite sure what's actually hot on terrestrial. But, I imagine it has to be a lot of these same crap songs.
