Well, since there's already a topic for members of Sirius Back Stage and XM 411, I think it's time for a topic for XM Fans! Please no bashing of XMFan. You saw what happen to XM 411 when they bash them too much. Besides, RyanM is doing something right if his forum is still active. Are you still a fan of XM? I'm still am and I will continue to keep XM until Sirius force us to switch over to Sirius or if they end up going out of business.
Also, I don't think the reason XM 411 has tanked is because they bashed XMFan. A big part could be the fact that the admin hasn't posted in 14 months.
Yeah, I don't think it had anything to do with Bashing. The fact is its been just like SBS, the owner lost interest and things went down hill from there. Ryan has done a good job with XMFan, he is attentive, provides feedback and support, along with great reviews of new equipment. That is what an owner should do. So, I personally applaud the way Ryan has always operated at XMFan.
Got to admit it, I am still a big XM Fan. Ryan has and continues to run a great site. I applaud him for keeping things going there, he has worked hard and it shows. This site is different then XMFan and thats a good thing. I will continue to enjoy both sites.
XMFan has done a good job in keeping the site active over many years, and their brand is quite powerful. I just thought of something.... Ryan Morris - Owner of XMFan Ryan Saghir - Owner of Orbitcast Ryan Marks - Owner of SIRIUS Backstage Ryan Gregory - Yours truly and Graphic Designer here Do we see a pattern here?!? :jj:
Yeah, I probably still stop by at XMFan every once in a while (under a different name) but this site I will go often.
No, Jeff sold it to Ryan Marks some time ago. And after some initial attention from Mr. Marks, SIRIUS Backstage unfortunately seems to have been left to die. Which is what brought us to DRC, and what a new beginning it is! :churn:
oh... I see... At least we have this site now! Hey! We should invite Ryan Morris to join us here!
I have no problem with XMFAN either. It is still a great site! I learned a lot about XM from XMFAN. The information on that site probably led me to subscribing to XM in the first place and also led me to choose my very first radio back in 2005....my good old Roady2. Ah, the good old days!
There were indeed offers, but when you don't bother to get back with people they get tired of dicking with you.
Same here. Its a great site and a great place to buy XM products much like TSS is for buying Sirius stuff. I have decided that is how I will split my business in the future just to be fair to two great compeditors. +1
