I notice that my Stratus requires a 5v power source. How do I hard wire this into my car's electrical system? Does anyone offer something that's easy to do or do I have to tear apart an existing cigarette adapter?

You can plug it into your car's cig adapter. Even though your car is 12v, there is a step down in the Stratus 5v plug that gives it the power that it needs?

Are you planning on hardwiring for power?

Don't tear apart a cigarette lighter adapter. It won't work right. The best thing to do is use the product that was made to do this, the sirius vehicle power hardwire kit. Here is a link to the product: SIRIUS Vehicle Power Hardwire Kit

This will solve all of your problems, give you a clean installation and free up your vehicles cigarette adapter.
