I can hear the theme song now Antsie or my other fave one"The Soprano's"
Gonna take you down
Deep To the Front line

You woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun
Mama always said you’d be
The Chosen One.

She said: You’re one in a million
You’ve got to burn to shine
But you were born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

You woke up this morning
All the love has gone
Your Papa never told you
About right and wrong.

But you’re looking good, baby,
I believe you’re feeling fine,(shame about it),
Born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
(So sad Goddamn,Goddamn shame about it)
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes

You woke up this morning
The world turned upside down,
Thing’s ain’t been the same
Since the Blues walked into town.

But you’re one in a million
You’ve got that shotgun shine.
Born under a bad sign, shame about it
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
(So sad Goddamn,Goddamn shame about it)
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes

Just can't help your self

When you woke up this morning everything you had was
gone. By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.
Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes,
like a voice telling you there was something you should
know. Last night you were flying but today you’re so low
- ain’t it times like these that make you wonder if
you’ll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to
the others; wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and
brothers. Don’t you wish you didn’t function, wish you
didn’t think beyond the next paycheck and the next little
drink? Well you do so make your mind to go on, ‘cos
when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

Woke up this morning,
Woke you woke up this morning,
Woke you woke up this morning,
You wanna be, You wanna be the Chosen One
Yeah You know it
Just can't help yourself, yeah

Woke up this morning,
Woke up this morning,
Woke up this morning,
Got yourself a gun
Got yourself a gun
Got yourself a gun

Thanks very much everyone, for all the kind words. It's been a long, strange, and very enjoyable trip these last five years; all of it (by the way) on Sirius. We started on what was then "Sirius Sports Action 123" on November 17, 2003, and made the move to Sirius NASCAR Radio 128 when it came to pass a few years later. One things that hasn't changed through it all is the unconditional love and support we have received from all of you. OK, most of you! It is much appreciated.

Dave, I found you quite by accident. Three years ago I bought a car with in-dash Sirius. I took the free trial offer, thinking nobody PAYS for radio, but what the heck, it might be worth a listen. At the time, our son was attending the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and during one of the 1000 mile days driving back to Indiana, I stumbled across a very familiar Nascar voice on the radio. As I recall, the program ended, and shortly it replayed itself. I was hooked!

Keep up the good work.

And BTW, the boy will be graduating from pilot training in Texas come May, keeping our country a safe place where we have the freedom to argue NASCAR on the radio and on the internet.

:hah:

Yeah, I used to think there's NO WAY I'd pay for radio. PAY? for RADIO?

But at one time I also thought..."there's no way I'd be a truck driver". Now I do both. :D

Actually my stepson hooked my up for my birthday in Feb. 07 and I thought "ok I'll try it out until the 3 months runs out". Then I just kept going. Plus I was trying to get back into nascar after taking a break for a few years.

Hard to believe Speedway's been on the air for that long. What a gig! If I could do my life over I'd get into radio at a very early age. I love radio. No, I frick'n love it! Then I'd be livin' the dream.
