Metro Phoenix sees first 100-degree day of year

Sunday marked the Valley’s first 100-degree day of the year and the century mark is likely to be reached again today, the National Weather Service says. :heat:

The highs through the rest of the week are expected to be in the 90s. Sunday’s official high at Sky Harbor Airport was 100.

On average, the first 100-degree day strikes May 2. Last year, it arrived April 21.

This week’s high temperatures are expected to be mitigated by a low-pressure system that will brush Arizona by Tuesday. That should bring in a breeze Wednesday through Friday, according to Valerie Meyers, a meteorologist with the Weather Service.

It's all over the place here. They're predicting a high of 91 on Wednesday and a low of 42 on Friday. But mostly it's in the mid 80s during the day. Once the floods and hail blow through it should be great bike riding weather.

My brother clued me in to the annual "ice breaker" contest his local paper has each year in Tuscon.

Regarding the other hot subject, smart and attractive women with a measure of modesty are the hardest to find.

They're usually bitchy. I work with one. She is cool most of the time, but others she gives me this superiority vibe and I want to choke her. Not really choke her (he says for the court records), but it's annoying.

She never felt the need to stop using her brain. She has self-esteem issues and thinks she's chubby. She's not pencil thin, but I'd wager none of you doofuses would toss her out of bed for eating crackers.

You just have an irrational need to choke everyone who is superior to you.

We're supposed to set a record today. 86 degrees is the forecast but it may hit 90.

It was 95F at first pitch in Minneapolis yesterday. They were giving out free Twins fleece blankets at the game

This happened earlier in the week in Minnesota from cold to hot.

Today it got high of 104 degrees and will be hot for couple more days. I been fixing up my backyard little by little and I don't own a underground pool maybe one day, but I'm about to buy an small inflatable pool sometime in the next couple of weeks so I can at least stay cool, plus my dog will probably like it.

Forecast 88 degrees in the Mile High city today. May get to 90. No humidity, though.
