Who's going to win this one?

Qualifying on Friday this week. (Impound race)

45 teams vying for 43 spots. (Still no short fields) - I thought there would be more.

Weather looks good for Friday, iffy on Saturday, good on Sunday if necessary.

Anyone here going?

I am going to go with Dale Jr. He runs well here. I was there last year to watch KB charge hard into turn 3 and take out the leader, DE Jr. Man was I PO'd. Oh well, it's a year later. :bigcry:

Some info from Jayski.....

Richmond International Raceway — the site of Race 10 on the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule — has proven to be pivotal to the hopes of potential Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup contenders. Nearly 80% of the drivers who have been Chase eligible coming out of the spring Richmond race have gone on to qualify for the Chase, with the championship field set following the second Richmond race. The breakdown is as follows: 2004 (8-10); 2005 (6-10); 2006 (8-10); 2007 (11-12); and 2008 (10-12).

Man, I'm just glad we're getting back to real racing.

A lot of folks will keep sayin' Jr. until he wins. I'll keep going the other way with Jimmie Johnson...that is...he's the LAST driver I want to win. LOL.

However, if Denny "the wimp" Hamlin is leading with JJ running second I expect JJ will give him another tap to pass him by. LOL. (Jimmie's got Hamlin's number....)

I actually would like to see Stewart win. Or Martin, Bowyer, Jeff Gordon..... Reutimann would be cool.

I'm here in Richmond now . I just got back from the Nationwide race. Should be some fun good short track racing :buttrock:

Of course Cnn has me panicking about this Swine Flu, every time I hear someone sneeze I find myself covering my mouth and nose with my shirt and running for the disinfectant.

Anyone know what went on with David Reutimann radio? If he didn't have a spotter, he shouldn't have been in the race track. Period...

No idea on "the Franchises" radio...but gotta admit the race sounded good, sure wish coulda watched it. Love them night races and love Richmond races. Seems to me Reut got his radio fixed fairly early on.
