Update:

Chris Carter's British Invasion
Sun 4/7 9:00 am ET
A program dedicated to the era that impacted Rock 'n' Roll like no other. You'll hear artists that were the movers & shakers during that most exciting period as well as those that flew under the radar. Others that influenced it...as well as those influenced by it...are also part of the show. You'll also get interviews with the people who made it the special time that it was, plus with artists & celebrities who were deeply moved by it. The debut episode! Yeah !! Yeah !! Yeah !!

Rebroadcast: Mon 4/8 12:00 am ET

Caught his FM show on iHeart last week and is just as good as the SXM version, but very inconvenient time- I could use some advise on how to record this to play back later. I'll miss BWTB, but this really looks good! :agree:

More from an article published on LA Times website:

Longtime “Breakfast With the Beatles” host Chris Carter will expand the musical scope of his weekly Sirius XM satellite radio presence with a new show, “Chris Carter’s British Invasion,” drawing from a half century of British rock and pop beginning Sunday, April 7.

The three-hour show will continue airing on Little Steven’s Underground Garage Channel 21, created and produced by guitarist, singer and actor Steve Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

“As listeners already know, the British Invasion of 1964 to 1968 is the heart of the Underground Garage format here on SXM 21,” Van Zandt said in a statement, “but this will be our first show dedicated to the music and era that defines our identity.”

Carter told Pop & Hiss on Wednesday, “I just want to thank Little Steven for allowing me to stay in his Underground Garage and allowing me the opportunity to expand my weekly playlist to not only the music of the Beatles but to the artists they influenced from 1963 right up to today….

“Any station that condones a set of songs featuring the likes of the Kinks, the Move, David Jones & the Lower Third, Oasis, Mott the Hoople and the Beatles is a place I want to live forever,” said Carter, who has been hosting the terrestrial radio version of “Breakfast With the Beatles” since 2001. It airs at 9 a.m. Sundays on KLOS-FM (95.5).

“British Invasion” will go out Sunday mornings at 6 Pacific time (9 a.m. Eastern), with an repeat Sundays at 9 p.m. on the West Coast (midnight Eastern time).

“Chris Carter’s British Invasion will be an exciting addition to our weekend lineup of music programming for the generation that lived it and for those who missed it,” Sirius XM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said in a statement. “There is no one better than Chris Carter to guide SiriusXM listeners nationwide through the hits and album tracks from one of the most vibrant, groundbreaking, and fun musical periods in rock.”

I caught this after the Bridge's folk music show. Most of the songs I've never heard before and the ones I did were never big on the charts. Isn't that everyone has been requesting from SXM. So this program should be well welcomed.
