Brett Favre has pretty much lost all of his fans by signing a new deal with the competition. Hrm. Wow, that's a setup if I've ever seen one.

But Brett WILL be back in Green Bay "in some capacity." (One game a year, plus any playoff games that may come up.) (One day a week, plus any Monday bonus shows.)

Will all the Jets fans that were pissed at Brett (Bubba) defect to their New York (Sirius) brother (Ellis) and become Giants fans?

LOL!

ps - The "Green Bay -> Minnesota" connection won't work since the Green Bay (Sirius) fans would be following Brett (Bubba) to the new situation. It would either have to be "Green Bay -> Chicago" or "Green Bay -> Detroit." The Jets scenario works much better.

I check it out on Friday's still. If its good I'll listen if it sucks then its music for me. Lately I won't listen about 75% of the time.
Sirius really needs a decent comedy morning show for Fridays.

A long time ago (when he started the quick break), he said that "the word to do so" came from the program directors at the FM stations.

Howard did the exact game.

But, if he went 45 minutes without a break, we'd complain because he'd take 4 commercial breaks after 5:45 PM.

MTT from 6 AM to whenever.
Friday show immediately after. Take that for about four hours.
After the Friday show ends, run a "Best of the week" to finish the 12 hour block.

Repeat the 12 hour block one time.

Re-air MTT on Sunday afternoon.

Everyone is happy. Of course, this is way too confusing for Sabien to figure out.

I heard Brett only practices Monday-Thursday and get 2 weeks off Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Such a situation is pretty much impossible. There's no pleasing everyone.

One of them even bitched at him for going past 10:00. :jj: If he didn't go long there wouldn't be enough show to fill the Sirius slot.

True. Hell, at this point, Howard could work on Friday from 6 AM to the plugs at 11:15 AM, and people would bitch because there'd be a porn star, or he'd try to get out early, or any other reason.

One of them even bitched at him for going past 10:00. :jj: If he didn't go long there wouldn't be enough show to fill the Sirius slot.

Exactly. I wonder who did that math, "If the FM commercial break is this long, and the Sirius breaks are this long, then the BTLS show needs to go X minutes over to get enough show."

It reminds me of the Farid Suleman days. Citadel would cut off the Stern show at 10 AM sharp. It made for good radio, Howard doing his Indian voice, Fred playing the Indian music in the background...

I don't have anything to add about the thread, I just like the visual image of Bubba being literally shot out of a cannon.

The "heat" between Bubba and Ellis was fun yesterday.

Yeah it was I hope they keep it up but keep it somewhat friendly. If what Ellis said was true about bubba asking sirius to get Ellis to not mention bubba is true I find it funny because that's the exact same thing he complains about O&A doing to him... Lol...
Or it was just radio bs from Ellis to throw flames on the fire. Eiter way, I'm a fan of both but prefer Ellis since I found him.

I think Bubba admitted to it because at the time he didn't want to start up some infighting at Sirius. But yeah, I instantly thought of the Howard/O&A parallel.

Like you said, as compelling as it was, liking both shows it sucks if there's real heat again after all this time. I hope Bubba calls into Ellis tomorrow and clears things up. That was really more of a diatribe directed towards some listeners rather than to Ellis himself.

And once again, there's a lot of speculating on hearsay because of what they hear through the grapevine. And Spice didn't come off that great in his call and may have aggravated the situation.

I heard the bit on bubba as well and like you I thought it was more directed at some fans and not so much Ellis.
Those damn message board posters!! ;)
