It's been too long since we had a music related debate...

What is your choice as the best "Rhythm Section" of all time?
(As defined as bass player/drummer combination)

John Paul Jones / John Bonham -- Led Zeppelin
John Entwistle / Keith Moon -- The Who
Paul McCartney / Ringo Starr -- The Beatles
Geddy Lee / Neil Peart -- Rush
Sting / Stewart Copeland -- The Police
Bill Wyman / Charlie Watts -- The Rolling Stones
Jack Bruce / Ginger Baker -- Cream
other?

(I didn't put a poll, because I didn't want to slight anyone)

Anybody and Keith Moon, really. But Entwistle was great in his own right. Listen to 'The Real Me' off Quadrophenia to hear his brilliance.

Nor-Cal
Jay Lane & Les Claypool from original Primus. (before the record deal - I saw 'em ~30 times before '89, but never since)
"Flea" & Jack Steven Irons from original Red Hot Chili Peppers. (before eMTyVee killed their funk- saw them on the "rock out with your cock out" tour twice in the span of 3 nights.)

♦But top honors in my book absolutely must go to:

Rob and John Wright of NoMeansNo.

(and still touring after 30 years, )
