Some of you may live in a trailer. There's nothing wrong with that. I have lots of family in trailers. My wife's grandparents' last home was a trailer. Her uncle lives there now. My great-grandmother lived in a trailer. My father-in-law lived in a trailer during his divorce.
At the same time, there is nothing so quintessentially redneck as an unkempt trailer.
Buckminster Fuller had a dream of mass produced pre-manufactured homes. They were supposed to be for all of the troops coming home from WWII, and would have been made in the airplane factories that weren't building all of those wartime planes.
Unfortunately they didn't really catch on. The only one left is on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan. It's the coolest thing. I have a Christmas ornament of it.
