Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference is being held this week in San Jose, California. Here are the highlights – and high prices:

Apple WWDC 2019: iOS 13 dark mode, Mac Pro, MacOS 10.15 and everything Apple just announced

The holy-wow Mac Pro and epically bright Apple Pro Display XDR debut, which, along with iOS 13 dark mode, highlight an event packed with new stuff.

Is "epically" even a word? Well, that's not important right now. Let me think. Do I want to spend $6,000 on Apple's Mac Pro, $5,000 on Apple's 32-inch 6K monitor and $1,000 on Apple's monitor stand plus an additional $1,000 in sales tax.......or should I spend that $12,000 on house payments, groceries, utilities, gasoline and clothing? Hmmm, what to do, what to do?

Apple wants to sell you a $1,000 stand so you can use its new $5,000 monitor

Ideally the Mac Pro isn't a consumer model, and there are companies that pay that much (or more!) for their computer systems, especially if you're heavy duty into IT or NetSec. But $1000 for a monitor stand is just nuts!

I AM looking very much forward to iPadOS 13. This may be what makes my iPad more usable than my laptop, and may very well replace my laptop.

Just got the new 11" iPad Pro and liking it very much. It'll be even better with the new software update.
