What songs make you immediately change the channel or station?
Whether you just don't like them, or are just plain tired of them.

My list:

Hooked on a Feeling - Blue Swede (ugachaka?!?)
Island Girl - Elton John (instant channel changer every time)
Signs - Five Man Electrical Band (just rubs me the wrong way)
Delta Dawn - Helen Reddy (I don't like any Helen Reddy songs)
Harper Valley P.T.A. - Jeannie C. Riley
La Bamba - Ritchie Valens / Los Lobos (sorry Ritchie)
Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) - Melanie (it's those high pitched vocals I can't get past, and the yelling)
Dance to the Music - Sly and the Family Stone (I love Sly ... but I've always hated this one. Listening to it is the longest 3 minutes of my life, everytime)
Hippy Hippy Shake - The Swinging Blue Jeans
Old Time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger (I regret all the times in my life I was forced to hear this one)
Mr. Lee - The Bobbettes
What's New Pussycat - Tom Jones (amazing that this song was written by the great Burt Bacharach/Hal David)
You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi (overplayed)
Cherry Pie - Warrant (horrible)
Dude Looks like a Lady - Aerosmith (overplayed)
Legs - ZZ Top
I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick (annoying)
Saturday Night - Bay City Rollers
One Way or Another - Blondie (I love Blondie, but not this song)
Rockin' Robin - Bobby Day
Under Pressure - Queen/David Bowie (waste of talent, sounds like unfinished lyrics)
Heartbeat, It's a Lovebeat - The Defranco Family
Sweet Nothin's - Brenda Lee
Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road - Loudon Wainwright III
One Thing Leads to Another - The Fixx (sick of this one)
Temptation Eyes - The Grassroots
Whatever Gets You Through the Night - John Lennon (sorry John)
Those Were the Days - Mary Hopkin (part of me likes and part of me doesn't)
Devil with a Blue Dress - Mitch Ryder
Good Morning Starshine - Oliver (glibby gloop glooby?!?)
Take a Letter Maria - R.B. Greaves (it's too repetitive or something)
The Streak - Ray Stevens
The Final Countdown - Europe
Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport - Rolf Harris
Emotional Rescue - Rolling Stones (hate the vocals)
Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones
Let's Go All the Way - Sly Fox
You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive (the stuttering gets on my last nerve)
It's Raining Men - The Weather Girls
You Better You Bet - The Who
In the Year 2525 - Zager & Evans (I feel like I should like this one, it's a classic, I just don't)
Brand New Key - Melanie
Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John (can you believe I never liked this one)
Black Betty - Ram Jam
Feliz Navidad - Jose Feliciano (anybody else dislike this one?)
Ring My Bell - Anita Ward
Bread and Butter - The Newbeats
Super Freak - Rick James (overplayed)
The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band

You guys have issues, pretty most all of those are great and you wanna crank up the radio to most of those tunes.

I change the station whenever Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Who and especially Rush.

Fuck anyone of you who says Nickelback.

A few of those are still ok by me. Blue Swede, Sly, Blondie, and Cheap Trick still sound good.
A lot of those are just worn out in my book.

Anything by The Smiths/Morissy are instant channel changers, along with AC/DC and most Areosmith tunes.

I like most of these songs.

Agree on weather girls.
My wife hates Rockin robin. Also anything by mellencamp.

I also dislike:
Anything by Whiney Houston.
Paula Abdul.
Endless love

This may win for hypocritical post of the year.

That's some list, you must've been working on it for a while.
Pretty much anything Vance Joy.
YES!

I'll have to spend a little time on this. Off the top of my head:
Squeeze Box - The Who;
Pearl Jam's cover of Oh Where Can my Baby Be;
Miss You - Rolling Stones;
Anything by Mumford and Sons - that freaking repetitive guitar strumming and the way he sings a step up at the end of each phrase;
Anything by George Ezra;
Anything by Frank Turner;
Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders;
I love Squeeze, but I bought East Side Story the day it was released, and I thought Tempted was a lame throwaway song, so that.

I don't listen to pop stations, so I avoid most of the annoying pop songs.

Oh, I'm hypocritical. Whenever I mention stuff in the past, you guys pounce on me. The one time I make a comment, I'm hypocritical. :rolleyes:
You named 4 of the biggest rock bands ever, that you hate all of them. But we're nuts for agreeing on a bunch of universally annoying songs.

I never said hate them all. I simply don’t care for there music. I’m nuts for agreeing on bunch of universally great songs.

I already have enough shit going on in the real world I don’t need more here! I don’t know why every time I make a simple comment, you have to argue with me. I would simply would rather make a comment and not have an argument first. If anybody here in DRC is hypocritical it’s you!

Music is like ice cream.
Everyone likes it, but there are a ton of different flavors because everyone doesn't like the same thing.

Everyone needs to go eat some ice cream, relax, and come back to this conversation later. Just don't tell us what fucking flavor of ice cream you get.

You need to chill. I'd suggest listening to Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

Oh I need to chill and the only decent song from Pink Floyd is Another Brick In The Wall. But after a while Korn version is much better.

May I suggest Something In Your Mouth by Nickelback.
