Who's going to win this one?

Jimmie Johnson, defending race winner.

52 caution laps last year!

Did they get these tires fixed?

Will there be a competition caution?

First week for ESPN. ESPN at 2:00 pm/et. Pre-race show at 1:00 pm/et. Green flag approx 2:16pm/et

Announcers: Dr. Jerry Punch, Dale Jarrett, Andy Petree

Pit Reporters: Dave Burns, Jamie Little, Mike Massaro, Shannon Spake

Studio: Allen Bestwick, Rusty Wallace, Brad Daugherty - IMO, they really need to put Alan back in the booth.

Qualifying: 2 laps for positions 1-42, Saturday, July 25 at 10:10am/et, TV-ESPN2.

Four drivers have run all 15 Brickyard 400's since it first ran in 1994. Can you name them? Highlight below for the answer.

=========================================
#24-Jeff Gordon [4 wins]
#96-Bobby Labonte [1 win]
#5-Mark Martin [best 2nd once]
#31-Jeff Burton [best 5th once]

=========================================

My pick is Mark Martin. He's never won here. :bigthumbup:

I was in Indy yesterday, and have a couple tidbits for anyone headed there this week. We saw regular unleaded gas for $2 and teen-cents per gallon. Here in southern Indiana we are paying $2.42, so it seemed like a bargain up there. I would expect the locals to raise prices and gouge the visitors by weeks end.

Also, interstate 465 on the west side is all torn up with construction. If you normally take the 10th street exit to the track, it is gone. There's not construction at exit 16 (Crawfordsville Road) but everywhere south of there. Beware narrow lanes and police enforcement.

The 1994 Brickyard 400

Watched it live and was thrilled that the new boy won and that we had somebody to go against Dale. By the late '90's I was SICK of Gordon winning all the time. LOL.

I would expect the locals to raise prices and gouge the visitors by weeks end.

Yeah, and what's ironic is that these same folks would be crying if nascar stopped going there. Or if many fans stopped going there because of the prices.

I will DVR the race...may watch it live. If it's a snooze fest I'll be watching something else.

I'm already gearing up for football by watching game reruns on the NFL Network.

Joie Chitwood, the president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced Monday that he will step down after this weekend's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. He is going to become the vice president of business operations for the International Speedway Corporation in Daytona Beach, Fla. Interesting.

There sure is a lot of talk on Sirius about this basically being do or die for this track. IMO, I don't care if they ever come back to this track with a CUP car. I can see where it is a big deal to the driver or owner to win here with the payout, but as a fan of NASCAR, it means nothing to me. I am not saying that I dislike the track. I'll watch the 500 here every chance I get but I've never had that same feeling watch a Cup car circle this track.

Has nascar said they will have a mandatory caution early to check tires?

Any call for rain?

I just read that there is a tire test scheduled for 2:19PM this Sunday @ Indy. Has anyone else heard the same? I didn't want to start spreading rumors or anything.
