You guys that know me, know I'm all about the music.
I'll use this thread to highlight whatever song I'm digging at the moment..

Great old song.. doesn't get as much airplay as some of his other hits.
Great voice, Sam Cooke
"Ain't That Good News"

Love it! I've been a little too busy to post my SXM song of the day lately. More music!

I always felt like Ray Davies is an even better songwriter than he got credit for..

Fun song that FM rarely plays...

Been listening to more George Harrison solo stuff since watching the new documentary on him... [ame="http://www.amazon.com/George-Harrison-Living-Material-World/dp/B007JWKLMO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352837398&sr=8-1&keywords=george+harrison+dvd"]Living in the Material World[/ame]

Going with "I'd Have You Anytime', but could have chosen any number of songs from All Things Must Pass. The title track, Beware of Darkness, Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp, Behind That Locked Door..

Song of the day is "Fall On Me" by R.E.M.
Why? Because R.E.M. was being discussed in one of the other threads around here, and this is one of my favorite tunes from them..

Today's song is "Southern Nights"

Glen Campbell does a great job covering it, but I'm going with this live version from the legendary songwriter himself, Allen Toussaint.

I've had satellite radio for over 10yrs. I love '60s music :)

I have never heard this song :(

Its not bad :)

It charted in the Top 10 in early 1970.. I'm surprised/disappointed it doesn't get much airplay on Sirius XM.

Jon's thread about songs with a horn section inspired today's choice of song.

Make fun of me for picking a song from Chicago, but this one is pretty rockin'
From their first album, I dig this tune..
