Ah, we went to Big Sable in Ludington State Park. We had to take a 3 mile sand hike to get to it but it was a nice visit.
Maybe we will visit your lighthouse some day.

For the record, I don't actually own it. Just took a picture of it that turned out very nice.

Woodstock week: Grace Slick. Who was a looker back in the day.

As often happens when one gets older, I was up in the middle of the night one day last week, and I came across Woodstock just as it was starting, and I couldn't stop watching, even though I had seen it many times. The mix of music and the way the documentarians captured that moment in history is mesmerizing. When Jefferson Airplane performed, I too realized how smokin' Grace Slick was, with her big blue eyes and all.

But for me, what stood out were the musicians who gave these out-of-body performances - possibly from the drugs peaking at just the right time. Like Richie Havens, Alvin Lee, The Who (though most of their set was not in the movie), and this guy, who is literally taken over by the music: Joe Cocker.
