As a Pelicans fan, I hate to lose Davis... but if all those players in return stay healthy, plus Zion at #1 plus the 4th pick... Next season's team should be really good.

I wouldn't mind the Nuggets getting Capela if they don't keep Paul Millsap around. Or Eric Gordon as the sixth man sharpshooter off the bench.

The mysterious, secretive Patrick Callahan launched the PlayersOnly.com betting site in 1996. It became Sportsbook.com in 1998 and Sportsbook.ag in 2006. It's based in Antigua. With Anthony Davis coming to Los Angeles, the Lakers are now favored by Sportsbook.ag to win the 2020 NBA Championship. Ummm.....aren't the predictions just a little bit premature? Anyway, Milwaukee is second, the Clippers (who have never even been in the Finals) are third and the Warriors, Raptors, Rockets and 76ers are tied for fourth. The Wizards and Cavaliers are last, each with 300-to-1 odds.

Two days ago at the Green Meadows Recreation Center, the Clippers introduced the two "new kids." Small forward Paul George is a six-time All-Star who previously played with the Pacers and the Thunder. Small forward Kawhi Leonard is a three-time All-Star who played with the Spurs and Raptors and won two NBA championships (2014, 2019). Leonard will wear #2 and George will wear #13. Coach Doc Rivers had them hold up their jerseys so the numbers said 213, which is the area code for Los Angeles. And if that wasn't clever enough, Paul George has a new nickname: PG-13.

Now let's see if the Clippers can make it to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

I hope they miss the playoffs. But I am not bitter.

I'd like to try to see about getting to a Nuggets game this year. Not sure which one yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how far they can go in the playoffs. I think they'll make the finals, although the Western Conference is stacked this year with a lot of good teams. Should be fun to watch!
