I mentioned in a related thread over at SBS that I was planning on getting a Springfield XD .40 cal

Well, I thought I might give you all an update. There was a 4-6 week wait to get the gun ordered and shipped here, so I decided to get this one instead:



It's a SCCY CPX-1 and it's a 9mm. Very inexpensive (it was $339, though I hear you can get them for as low as $275).

It's DAO (double action only) with a 9 lb. trigger pull, and it comes with 2 mags, two keys for the lock, and two flat magazine bases (ideal for conceal carry).

There is also a lifetime warranty that comes with the gun ("Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime") which is what made the deal even sweeter for me.

I've lately become a big fan of Hi-Points. They're big and ugly, but they're outstanding for the price. Just bought a .40 cal for $200.

I know NOTHING about guns, but I have to say, I like the look of the one that h3xagram posted. It's a very nice looking gun!

I didn't realize something like that could be so inexpensive!

I like nickle-plated shiny guns too. lol Actually I like anything shiny... I'm like a bird. lol
