my pops is 83 and trying his best to learn how to use the computer. everytime i go to his place i give him a lesson on my laptop. man it can be trying at times. just learning how to use the touch pad was a big challenge. he has a computer at home but its a desktop thats from like 05. ive talked to him about netbooks and he seemed open to it. i figured the eee pc would be good for him. all he ever needs to do is search google and hotmail. eee should be fine for that. i bought it for him yesterday and im gonna surprise him with it when i see him next. oh and i got him a wireless mouse too so we wont have the pad issues again.

funny thing is this man was a chemist in his day. hes a smart guy. i guess its like if we were to try learning german right now. it would be much easier if we started at like 5 years old.

ive been thinking about buying him one for awhile now so i when we were in best buy for xmas gifts i made sure to bring him over to the netbooks. i asked him if the screen was too small for him and he told me he could see it just fine.

yup! old mans a player. needed to sow his wild oats for like 56 years before he had me. oh and the chick he married (my mom) was 20 years younger than him.
