Today is a very sad day for my Husband and I...

We had to put our poor little kitty down.. She was diagnosed just about 3 months ago with Kidney Failure but way a real trooper.. We had been giving her medication 5 times a day, plus a special diet food and had to give her 100ml of IV fluids everyday to keep her hydrated.. She was such a strong girl, only 10 years old and was responding well to all the meds.
This morning tho she started getting very wobbly on her feet and had a hard time holding her balance and couldn't stand. We just couldn't put her through it anymore..

I just don't know when this pain eases... I have never felt so much pain in my life as I do today...

R.I.P baby girl you will always be with us...

aww, im so sorry.

i just got my kitten on 8/09 and i already so bonded with that little thing i cant even guess what your up against.

when i was a child we had a dog, kyra, a carin terrier. we got her from the pet store at the mall and she was so inbred that once she got to about 9 she got diabetes. we had to give her a shot every day for the rest of her life. after having diabetes for about a year, she went blind. that was when she got close to the end. we had to put her down just a little while after that. \



not kyra, but a stock photo from google that looks kinda like her when she needed to be groomed.

I am so sorry. You did the right thing. I know its hard. I went through the same with my dog (Fred) just 3 month's ago. I hope your kitty find's Fred in the great beyond. He was always a good 'cat' dog.

Sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. I've been through it myself a couple of times. When you love an animal it is just like losing a family member.

It'll go away eventually. I lost a dalmatian and a golden retreiver a few years ago. But I think if this is the worst thing you've ever felt in your life, you're doing pretty good...

You are welcome! The feelings stay with you for awhile, but the lessen over time. I'd love to say that I don't still miss mine, but I do very much. You can't look at pictures and have good memories of them without wishing they were still with you. However, I know in my heart that the ultimate choice I made lessen their suffering. Sometimes we tend to hold on to animals for ourselves much more than for them because we love them so much.

It will get better as time goes on. You hold on to those happy good times.
