I moved your post here, because it is basically on the same topic, there is no point in having multiple threads basically discussing the same topic.

Someone will probably buy the sats once Sirius XM officially dies. Probably Clear Channel. I know everyone thinks they suck, but I bet they can run a company a million times better than Sirius XM.

BRIEF MENTAL IMPAIRMENT? Just about every move made since the merger has caused me to question the mentality of the powers that be. Are we sure George Bush isn't running Sirius/XM?

And people think Sirius XM is a monopoly. The company that owns more radio stations than any other owning ALL of the private spectrum that was intended for two companies originally? THAT is a monopoly.

What about the multi-radio plans for lifetime subscribers? Or do we have to pay an extra $2 for a second radio?

Anyways, if this is true then I will not bother getting an XM radio for the sole reason that it will not come with free listening (which would mean no Cinemagic at the house over the internet). I would rather pay $1 less to get it on Internet only but the day Cinemagic returns to SIRIUS, I am pulling the plug on XMRO (besides, I'm paying $8/month for only a FEW channels!).

If they are really doing this, then they need to get all of the "exclusive" XM channels (Cinemagic, The Groove, The Village) simulcasted on SIRIUS Internet Radio if they are forcing people without lifetime subs to pay for it now.

Does this affect me? No, not really (I only have 1 sub anyways). But like I said, it keeps me from ever getting an XM radio.
