Sirius has given me three years of the Stern show with the promise of two more, so it's #1 in my book as far as entertainment goes. All the other great content is a bonus. Even with all my bitching about bad hardware and customer service, I spend more time listening to Sirius content than any other form of entertainment.

When Sirius first launched, it was just with Kenwood and my brother had one of the first Sirius ready radios. I bought him the SR901 and installed it, knowing this was going to be a big deal. A few minutes on Octane and I was hooked.

Later I bought a Kenwood radio for the truck and the Sirius tuner. The biggest regret was that I didn't spend enough time in the truck. Luckily I had online streaming and later Dish Network.

I stayed up overnight to listen on 1-9-06. I listened to Bubba when he first started on Sirius. I was glad when Ferrall was signed. I listen to most of these shows during the week and I listen to 20, 24, 45, 50 during the weekends.

The WiFi feature on my Stiletto 2 is probably the best feature of any Satellite Radio. It means I can just take the radio with me throughout the house with my Ultimate Ears. I was out listening to Stern while snowblowing this past week.

Better yet, I work for probably the largest online dealer of Sirius and Sirius accessories. It doesn't get much better than that.... Ok, maybe if they brought back Super Shuffle and Punk..

Thumbs up

I was shocked to see a thread on here that supported SiriusXM, and the fact it has stayed positive is refreshing.....

I am also loving my satellite radio. I've been a subscriber for a year and a half, and owned a Starmate 3 (which my g/f has), Stiletto 10 and now the Stiletto 2. I have only had to call Sirius once for a technical issue with the SL10. I have gotten rid of my iPod and used the money to get a SD card that has twice the space. The programming has been great, I love the variety, and find myself wishing I had a "D" set of presets. I was happy with the changes after the merger, and look forward to the changes to come.

Default So many good things

There are so many good things about this product-on either the Sirius or XM side. We've got no "easy listening" channel in Minneapolis--instead, Escape is always there. I travel alot in the summer--and I can follow any and all MLB teams without fail. (Go Minnesota Twins!) If I want talk radio, I can hear Fox News Talk, Bruce Williams, Sporting News Radio anywhere I want. Finally, what could be better than 70s on 7??

Since July of 2002 I've beed a satellite radoi subscriber. I was the best thing I ever did in trucking...

Sometimes I get a little down on the content, but for the most part I can't complain. I have so much to listen to that if I get tired of one channel, I just move to another.

In the six plus years I've been listening, this is what I've mostly listened to....

Dialed In
Top Track
ESPN Radio
Phil Hendrie (sp?)
80s on 8
60s on 6
Coast to Coast
Bill Mack
Flight 26 (The Mix before CC took over)
Hitlist 30 (KISS before CC took over)
20 on 20
Watercolors
Dave Nemo
Opie & Anthony
Sirius Speedway
AltNation
1st Wave
'60s Vibrations
Big80s
The Frank DeCaro Show
The Spectrum
The Pulse
Howard Stern
The Morning Drive
Tony Stewart Live

Plus all the NASCAR, NFL, & MLB any one person can take...

(Some NBA & NHL, too...)

Some single artist channels along the way...

The Who
R.E.M.
ABBA
Led Zeppelin

As long as there's something to listen to on satellite radio, I will continue to be a subscriber...

Since September of 2005 I have been a subscriber to Sirius XM , and I have listened to alot of channels along the way , and alot of sports events on the platform. Sometimes I think to myself when I hear a repeat on Sirius XM , what the hell am I doing listening to this , but since I have slacker I have given both platforms Sirius and Slacker equal listening time , sometimes more for one side or the other. As long as Satellite Radio is uncensored and has no commericals along with the Sports I will stay as a subscriber.

It's so refreshing to see a thread like this!

There's just so much negativity behind the industry right now that it clouds the things we've all fallen in love with. It's easy to look at stock prices and point fingers... but it's not the stock that has inspired nearly 20 million people to subscribe to this service. It's the service itself!

I listen everyday, for a reason. I couldn't imagine my commute without satrad. It literally keeps me sane. Hell, I'm laughing the whole time! Whether I'm on the train, or stuck staring at someone's taillights, satrad has the ability to make me teleport from one destination to another.

And there is literally no other service, or device, that can do this.

Before Sirius my only options for music was commercial filled radio or $.99 track downloads from iTunes. Satellite Radio changed the entire way that I listen to music and I absolutely love it! I mean, we have such a wide selection of music, the ability to save individual tracks for free on our portables, internet radio for work or for apartments that can't place satellite antennas outside. I have been exposed to so much different music that I had never heard prior to Sat Rad too.

I think that Sirius XM is the best entertainment innovation of the 21st century (so far) and am excited to be a subscriber to such a solid service. Not to mention that we subscribers have one of the best communities online and not only share our experiences with one another but help each other out as well.

And let's not forget that the music is uncensored AND some of these channels play tons of music you would never ever hear on regular radio.
