Very cool, I know its not good to take advantage of their specials, but every time I call to cancel it is because I am between jobs and go a few months without a paycheck, so its legitimate, and they always offer a few free months. And of course, I do re-up when I have the money again, usually for 3 months at a time, sometimes yearly. I've been subbed since '05 and the customer service rep always mentions how he appreciated a 'long time sub' like myself, and throws me a bone. woohoo!

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking advantage of their specials. It's not like you are putting a gun to their heads. They can let you cancel. In this economy, it never hurts to ask. A lot of times they end up saying yes!
