Default Sirius Canada subscriber

Do I have any recourse as a Sirius Canada subscriber, if all these channels are going to be merged/axed? I am a lifetime subscriber, so its not like they could even try to 'appease' me with a discount or anything. I understand that in the contract 'content' can be changed blah blah blah, but IMO this isn't the same thing, or at least, not what I am paying for. I am recieving SiriusXM content, when I am paying for Sirius Canada content. (Don't even want to get started on the fact that there is very little in the way of things for 'cdn subscribers') I feel like I should never have 'supported' the cdn company and rather just got the US subsription, but i bit the bullet and got a lifetime subscription so I can't even change my decision.

Anyways just wondering what everyone thinks, and even if there are any Cdn subsribers out there?

I am in Canada but did the US lifetime. You are probably not going to lose too much content and it really is only an issue for you if you have an XM sub as well. You will likely get something almost equivalent as to what you had before.

What does 'almost' equivalent to what I had before means.
I only ask if you know, if you don't I'll try my best to look it up.

Cheers

On a completely different note, and related to Howard Stern, i recieved one of those surveys directed to cdn subs, and it was asking about Howard 101, and had listed there "Bubba TLS" and Riley Martin.....

Yea I listen to Howard 101 for Riley.....

They are combining channels with XM. If you listen to the Big80s now, the new one will be called 80s on 8, play 80s music, have MTV DJs and be roughly equivalent to the Big80s you listen to now .... just not identical.

But since Canadian Sirius is a different company than the U.S Sirius was, or Sirius XM is, I also wondered if the Canadian subcribers would lose channels with this new channel re-org.

I have not been able to find anything about how this will affect Canadian subs.

I have a U.S Sirius subscription, so it won't affect me anyways, but I came looking to see if there was a thread with any answers because I was curious.

Canadian subs get a subset of the american channels. Each of Sirius Canada and XM Canada will select the channels it will offer to its subs.

No. I've been watching XM Canada since they historically have given advance notice of programming changes. Nada. Probably under a gag order.

I've checked the website for "Sirius Satellite Radio Canada", and their last channel update was for June. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I asked a few questions about possible changes and this is the response I got.
I take it they are not talking...or just clueless...

I got a kick out of the Hi(Customers Name).....

Hi (Customers Name),

Thanks for writing to us about programming. SIRIUS US and SIRIUS Canada are two different companies. The merger does not effect our programming with SIRIUS Canada.

Sincerely,
