Tell me....when the size of an ice cream container is decreased and the price stays the same, is that a price increase?

That is a sneaky business practice that has been going on for while now, but YES in my mind that is a price increase.

Personally I am not going to say this isn't a price increase with all due respect to SSF. But what I will say is that I have no problem paying for this price increase because I see this as a necessary measure for them to save money and possibly increase revenue which we all know they desperately need.

There are those that get into the principle of all this and as I've said I am not one of them. I see this for just what it is, Sirius is trying to survive and at minimum they are hoping to at least be able to show potential lenders they are doing everything possible to cut cost and increase revenue in hopes of getting a refi or loan.

I think it is terrible timing, I think there will be cancellations and one has to hope they have thought it out and that the gains out weight the losses.

I'd much rather pay a little more and save sat radio vs not having sat radio. I also agree this company has done a terrible job of management and they have to do better going forward or else nothing is going to be able to save this industry. Some have already had a enough and canceled. I understand that too.

By the way I merged this thread in with the current price change thread, it is the same topic!

So the other 14 threads on this same topic don't contain the FACTs?

The Sirius "lock in" page has an error in the pricing for the 2-year secondary radio plan. The price listed is $176.76, but my calculator tells me it should be $167.76.

Don't pay too much!

This is total BS. I would have prefered they kept the same size and just raised the price.

Are you claiming Mel has gone into the frozen refreshment business?

Sadly it took even less time than I had thought to be vindicated in opposing this merger from day one.

There were a number of us who realized that we were going to get less music diversity and higher prices. It would have been preferable to have one go under and sell their assets to a new company that would keep a competitive environment.

I agree with you 100%, but the merger has come & gone, & now we are left to pick up & move on...

I, for one, have taken advantage of the merger by returning to XM. With a radio that fits my needs & a subscription to The Best of Sirius, I'm making due...
