Nice move around the time everyone is getting their tax refunds. I want satellite radio to survive so I'm not gonna' bitch about another $2.00/month but this stinks to high heaven. I feel like I'm missing something here because my BS meter is in the red.
well if u need more proof why dont u call and ask Customer Service yourself, 1-888-539-7474.
Ken, your post only seems suspicious because this was your first thread/posts on this forum. The reasoning seems right, and I hope they value add it to make it worth our while.
But hey, you just saved me money. I just brought this up to my wife and she said that she never really listens to her XM in her car anyway...she listens to her iPod. I'm keeping my SIRUS Stiletto, Internet Plus, and Best of XM (especially if MLB comes aboard), but probably disconnecting my XM. The way I figure it:
Stiletto: $12.99
Internet: $2.99
Best of XM: $4.00
total: $19.98
Hey...the same price as a MiRGE dual subscription!!
Before:
Stiletto: $12.99
XM: $12.99
2nd XM: $6.99
Best of XM: $4.00
Best of SIRIUS: $4.00
Internet Radio: $2.99
total: $43.96
Well Ken Muise if that is your real name, you'll be looking for a job. Sirius has strict guidelines against your guys posting such information in public forums.
The information presented sounds possible. How many will cancel over a $2 increase in the secondary subs? I think what will piss most off is the removal of free internet radio (SIR).
Anyway... I'll hold judgment on this until I get that email. Also if it applies to Sirius it will apply to XM. Remember now they are one and the same.
Likely if you have an SL100 or SL2, you'll have to pay the $2.99 per month to get the internet for your device.
These are all ways to try to increase income, which they desperately need. We'll See! It is also likely true that the FCC decision on them not increasing prices would be for the primary subscription only. They can do whatever they want in terms of secondary subs and internet as long as they don't go above the $12.99 I've been around so long I remember when they didn't have the lower secondary subscription price. XM started it first and then Sirius followed suite.
