Default I love SIRIUS XM!

I wanted to post this kinda in response to the Where Did The Buzz Go Thread.

I get so caught up sometimes in seeing what is said about SIRIUS XM on online forums and stuff. A few weeks ago things weren't looking as great IMO. With some popular channels being removed and Bubba possibly not being re-signed the company had me in a less than agreeable mood.

But in a short period of time things are looking up. And in reality why do I care as a SUBSCRIBER what's going on so long as I'm happy as a listener. IMO the product is fantastic! I don't get bored at all with it. It's so hard to get bored with it really. I get in my Monday thru Friday habits of listening to Howard Stern, Covino and Rich (Stars Too) and Bubba the Love Sponge. When they are on, it's addictive, when they are off it's a good time for me to catch up on music.

Speaking of music my XMP3 really is my favorite device ever. I still use my SL2 to record programs but for me the XMP3 is the ultimate MP3 player or live Satellite Radio device. Say I have to go to the gym in an hour. I record a few channels SIMULTANEOUSLY to get up to 5 hours of content in only an hour. I'll record the pop channels lately like Pop2K, 20s on 20, and 90s on 9, or maybe Hip Hop Nation. When I'm at the gym I've got 5 hours of content and if it's a song I don't like I simply fast forward to the next one.

The reason I'm posting this is because I find it's easy to nitpick at little things about the services, but ultimately many of us are so enthralled within them that we even take time out to post about them on a message board. I have a lot of faith that things will workout with the company despite what the buzz is. This is a time to spread the good cheer of the service if you like it. If you love SIRIUS XM post in this thread Man I'm giddy. The music just gets me pumped up and happy

I go through the same emotions as you. I'm in the giddy stage as well knowing we have atleast 2 more years of Howard and Bubba and I for one love the music lineup way better than before.

I agree with you, the service is better than ever, and I can't complain. Sometimes when I read the comments on orbitcast it really gets me down, but anyone can post there and I feel that most of the time its people who don't have SAT radio just trying to bash it. I love the sports, and music choices. I live near Fort Wayne Indiana I could choose on regular radio a dumb morning zoo show that still does the its Friday crap, The I man, or some other show I can't remember anyway there is no choice. I love Sat radio and hope it continues.

I haven't had to settle for one bad song or commercial in 4 years of listening in my car. In fact, I usually have to decide between 5 or 6 good songs that are playing at the same time on my preset channels.

My parents finally started subscribing last week. My mom tells me "Wow, Why did I wait so long to get satellite radio!" She's amazed by all the good songs she is hearing that do not play on FM.

Yes, I love Sirius XM.

I enjoy listening to the commercial free music stations, Howard Stern just about everyday and sports games just about anytime.

So yes, I love SiriusXM.

Like you I love sat radio and have for over 8 years now. However, lots of poor decisions have been made and many subscribers turned off and potential subscribers not jumping aboard because of fear.

There is still very much to like and/or love about sat radio. But I have to admit I've grown very cynical over the last few months. I think it is the first time I have really considered alternatives and I have not done that lightly. I still think sat radio is going to make it, but much of that depends on the decisions made over the next several months. If music continues to take a dive with so many alternatives, then I am sorry, but I have to say sat radio is in trouble... big time. Yes I think at this point it can clearly be turned around, but they need to take immediate action to do so and a good start would be to get rid of all these single artist channels and fix some of the recent mistakes they made.

Long Live Sat Radio!

See and I didn't mention Slacker once! Oopss... too late! LOL

There is a lot to like - and I'm hopeful that the company survives. I'd love to have some of the radio technology that the XM receivers have had, but don't wish to change service at the present time based on the "Best-of" options currently available.

I fantasize about a day where any of the radios can get any of the channels - or at least where they can merge their billing systems so that I can add an XM sub on the multi-sub subscription plan.

In all the time I have been a subscriber to satellite radio, I have not had a single complaint (except for them taking The Bridge off and on the sats, and the waste of bandwidth on single-artist channels and Backseat TV). I realise they can't be perfect.

I love the music, the news, talk, entertainment, sports, and everything else that Sirius has to offer. Try doing that on your iPod or Slacker.

I guess what I'm trying to say is... I love Sirius XM too.
