So true. If this was another website, this thread would have been "attacked" by now.

Of course I love everything Stern related, but my loyalty to SIRIUS XM goes beyond Howard Stern.

I love the other programming. I listen to all the new music, so that I can talk (fairly) intelligently with my 12 year old son about Sevendust and Rise Against! I can get my Dylan, Neil Young, Petty, and Wilco in heavy doses. I like listening to the CNN t.v. feed, and I like hearing the varied comedy venues. Finally, I can even hear my pathetic New York J-E-T-S!

The reception is great, and the equipment is super reliable. So I'm very satisfied with the whole situation!

I have listened to all the available Internet Radio options out there, and I still cannot find something as good as Sirius XM.

Sirius XM is miles above FM Radio, I love all of the stations, and really enjoy discovering new music. I do love my iPod + iTunes, but half of the songs I purchase I heard first on satellite.

While I scratch my head at some of the decisions they make, I have rarely encountered a tech company where I haven't. Even so, they have still maintained a top-notch product. That's why I've been a subscriber since 2004!

I love satellite radio too. That's why I registered to post on this message board. There is SO MUCH variety, and with my XM plus the best of Sirius, I can listen to play-by-play of MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL, along with loads of great college sports! There is all kinds of talk radio, a good selection of comedy channels, and great unique channels like Book Radio and Radio Classics. And of course the music. We may not be happy about a channel being cut here or there, or about the need for single artist stuff, but the fact remains that there is a wide variety of commercial-free music, with choice that FM still can't come close to touching. Oh, and there's Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony too! And there ALWAYS seems to be something to look forward to- right now we can look ahead to great channels like The Bridge, Cinemagic, the Strobe, and Backspin rejoining us, and hopefully The Villiage too (though I'm less optimistic about that one). THe bottom line is that there's really TOO MUCH great stuff to listen to...and no way to listen to it all! I hope that Sirius-XM can find a way to keep afloat for a long time to come. The day we lost Sirius-XM would be a very sad day indeed. Slacker could never replace everything it provides. Long live satellite radio!

I drive a big rig in the mountains of british columbia and there is virtually no terrestrial radio available so siriusxm is a no brainer. The only other option for me is a cd player and I would much rather have the fine folks at siriusxm choose my music for me,they do a much better job then I possibly could...The main reason I keep my subscriptions though is for Howard 100/101.Howard,Bubba and Ferrall keep me entertained all day,so much that I hardly have time for music but nice to know its there if I need it..long live siriusxm!!

Smile Moved out of USA still love SIRIUS

I moved to Germany 3 years ago, and I was in love with SIRIUS. I had it for years in the states, then I moved.. After 2 weeks outside the US without SIRIUS, I then knew how much I loved it. So I got the SIRIUS Internet radio, then they made it CD Q music... I love it. Not only the music but Howard, Jay Thomas and other talk make me feel at home when I'm over 5,000 Miles away from home. I record the SIRIUS stream on my MAC, then load it into my car, so I have SIRIUS/XM when driving around Europe. I'm very happy with the service even as an Internet Radio Service, I still have my old radio active and use it when I fly back home. I'm one happy Mo-Fo with SIRIUS/XM, abroad...

I just wish the folks on XM Fan and XM 411 could share in our enthusiasm for Sirius XM. Those folks are STILL pissed about the merger, will not let it go, and longing for the day that XM goes back to EXACTLY what it was before. Good luck with that! I do, however, notice that they are STILL listening (and apparently listening a good bit) to the very channels they bitch and moan about! And I don't think many of them are ready to cancel the service either- so deep down, I think they still like it! But I just can't post on those boards too much, a lot of negative vibes on them!

Be thankful that this board is a board where we can have our opinons respected , and we can constructively crtictize Sirius and XM not to the point where we are bitching 90 percent of the time.
