2) The data plans required for this "free WiFi" are much more pricing than $12.95/mo. You can talk about free this and that, but you have to pay for the WiFi somewhere. I don't see it being a viable option for this subscriber with or without Sirius XM.
Exactly. WiFi may be "everywhere" in the fact that you can get it in your car, or on your phone, but I don't see new cars flying off the lots

And there are a TON of places that don't get any cell phone service at all. You can't even make a voice call, let alone send a text or anything like that.

These places all get SiriusXM service. Between WiFi, satellite service, and the repeater network, Sirius has a much wider coverage area than any mobile data network.

Same reason satellite radio is struggling. Satellite radio isn't available everywhere. Sitting in my doctor's office the other day with Sirius Love on a SkyFi3, and the dropouts were insane. Get at least a halfway decent repeater network then come see me about full coverage everywhere.

You know we can talk about the Pandora and Slacker thing in many threads, but this is a I LOVE SIRIUS THREAD! So, if you love it tell us why! All that other junk needs to be in other threads!

You know I like those other services, but they don't beat Sirius XM overall. I mean where can I get any NFL football game while I am traveling during the season? Where can I enjoy great information to help me be healthy and learn more about cancer, being diabetic than Doctor Radio. Feel like having your funny bone tickled the choices are endless. Need to find out what is going on in the world, Fox, CNN and many others have you covered. I could go on and on. There just is not service like Sirius XM.

No one speaks more harsh about Sirius XM and their management team than me. Still I do love this service. I get a bit outdone at times, but honestly I don't think I could cancel. Why? Because of all those reasons I just stated above. Sirius is a TRUE entertainment service. Guess what I never mentioned Howard, because I don't listen to Howard, but I do understand there are millions that do.

Sat Radio in my opinion is the king of real true entertainment and the price even with the recent increases is still unbeatable when you think about it. I think some of you seem to expect perfect reception and for the service to always be perfect. Show me one that is? Even those on Wifi have their problems, but that is for another thread some place else not here.

Yeah.. I LOVE SAT RADIO!

By the way I've listened all day today with the Sirius XM App on my iPod Touch... It doesn't offer much in the way of features, but I have enjoyed it so much today!

The iPhone and iTouch application added to my list of why I love Sirius XM. I love the features of being able to block channels, create favorite channels, the onscreen volume control, search by categories, scroll quickly through the entire list of channels, the ability to research more details about each channel, the feature of adding and removing favorite channels, the shopping cart feature for song purchases and the feature of viewing the full screen channel logo. The pause feature is nice as well.

Well done Sirius!

Thanx Taylor. Got the T-shirt. Wearing it proudly. And damn you were quick. From the time you said you were going to mail it and the time it arrived was 2 or 3 days. Excellent service as usual.

I was wearing it today taking my son to the Science Centre. A guy who worked there came up to me and said Sirius was a lifesaver for him last summer. He was on a 4 month job in the arctic. No internet. $20/min sat phone. No radio. He said Sirius was his lifeline and he loved it.

That's awesome. It has become a necessity for many of us for sure.

From the local Clear Channel Top 40's Twitter:

"Your tix to see PCD & Britney Spears comin' at 7:33pm when you hear "Not Meant to Be" by Theory of a Deadman...LISTEN NOW!!"

What in the eff are they doing playing Theory of a Deadman to give away Britney tickets? Aren't those two audiences entirely different? Then again, this channel did play a (very censored) version of "What It's Like" by Everlast. They also played Nickleback.

The funny thing about rock on Top 40? The rock channels play those bands 2-4 years before the Top 40 channel.
