We should have known that both the Single Artist channels, and the Clear Channel programmed channels would survive the merger.

I'm hoping there's more to the lineup for Sirius listeners. The suspense is killing me. I won't be happy without Movin' Easy.

Question for XM'ers: Looking at the Pop category, How many channels does one need playing hits from the last 30 years? MIX, The Pink Channel, The Blend, The Pulse (Sirius), KISS, Pop 2k - seems redundant? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So there are at least some changes although not nearly as many as there should be. They really should have gone with a standard channel lineup.
I was assured that the moves don't apply to SIRI by 2 service reps and by someone who is a manager in one of the call centers. Maybe she meant "most" won't move? But you know, the more you think about this, why the heck wouldn't you just shift ALL these channels on both systems to the same channel designations? Howard kind of forced them to do that (since the "100" and the "101" are actually a part of the Official Name for each channel). But really, why shouldn't all these be on the same channels on both systems? Maybe that really is what Mel is going to do? And if not, why not? Mel?

Wasn't sure if the from/to data was captured in the thread. Here's that (and the "was" means, of course, what is was [is, until the shift] on XM) -

10 – The Roadhouse* was America
12 – Outlaw Country* was X Country
16 – The Highway* was Highway 16
17 – Prime Country* was US Country
23 – SIRIUS XM Love* was The Heart
26 – The Pulse* was Flight 26
30 – Pop 2k* was XM Hitlist
33 – Praise* was Spirit
41 – Hair Nation* was BoneYard
43 – SIRIUS XM U* was XMU
44 – 1st Wave* was Fred
46 – Classic Vinyl* was Top Tracks
47 - Alt Nation* was Ethel
48 – Octane* was Squizz
49 – Classic Rewind* was Big Tracks
54 – Lithium* was Lucy
60 – Soul Town* was Soul Street
62 – Heart & Soul* was Suite 62
66 – Shade* was Raw
67 – Hip Hop Nation* was The City
72 – Spa* was AudioVisions
73 – SIRIUSLY Sinatra* was High Standards
77 – SIRIUS XM Pops* was XM Pops
78 – Symphony Hall* was XM Classics
79 – Metropolitan Opera Radio* was VOX
84 – SIRIUS XM Chill* was XM Chill

The XM Graveyard:

2 XMX - gone
18 No Shoes - Gone
51 Metallica - gone
53 Fungus - gone (but Lou Brutus is DJing on Octane 48 and Faction 52)
65 Rhyme - gone (Sub Sonic is moving to Hip-Hop Nation)
72 Beyond Jazz - gone
76 Fine tuning - gone
82 The System - gone (will remain on XMRO)
83 Chrome - Gone
91 Viva - gone
92 Aguila - gone
93 Caricia - gone
125 Weather Channel - gone
162 E! - gone

Kiss, Mix and Pink are CC channels and will be duplicated with commercial free content. The Blend, if programmed the way it used to be, is unique. Now I agree it is a clone of The Pulse for the most part. Pop 2k is Hits 1. Since Hits 1 and The Pulse exist on Sirius, obviously they are not considered duplicates. 20 on 20 is the only thing which is kinda redundant with Pop 2k.

If someone can find a cleaner copy of this (one that's all in one file), go for it. For now, here you are:

Edit 11/11 - I found it! I found it! LOL!

The ad says get your xm or Sirius radio. So that should mean that everyone should be getting these channels or that would be false advertising. I am speaking of the music.

The channels listed here are not in the ad. What you see in the add is a subset of the common channels that could be gotten on either service (including Best Of).

I comprehended that the way you stated it.

Wow, you really have some comprehension problems. Try Googling Martin Goldsmith and see his classical music background. It isn't "just one person" on a channel. He runs the clasical music channels at XM (there are 3) and XM's classcial music is far superior to Sirius.

Once again, why subscribe to XM when I have a Sirius sub also? Looks like when Mel gets done, they are going to be mirror images of each other.

I like how you link to an article for information, that links to this forum, for information. Funny how that works. I was going to post that here.

Since Sirius Canada and XM Canada are seperate companies from the U.S counterparts... I wonder what is going to happen to Sirius Canada subscribers. Are we going to lose some channels that we now have, or will they get to use the "new line up"

Maybe no one thought of that. This whole thing seems really poorly planned, and I would not have known about it if I was not on the forums.
