Walk the Dog 2008

SIRIUS Backstage Forum is pleased to announce the return of our Walk The Dog program -- Walk The Dog 2008.

For those unfamiliar with it, WTD is SBS's way of encouraging our members to become more aware of what Sirius has to offer.

WTD will work much like it did last time we ran it in 2006. We will announce three channels each week, give them a thread in the WTD forum, and sticky them. Please give each channel an honest listen each week, maybe an hour or more. Post your comments, i.e. your likes and dislikes, in the threads provided.

To those who participated the last time, we'd love for you to try it again. Your preferences may have changed since the last time, and perhaps you'll notice some of the changes some channels have made.

Look for the first week's channel announcements in the WTD forum in the next couple of days.

We hope you enjoy it!

A few programming notes as we begin...

-- A thread has been made available to post your current presets.
As time goes on, let us know what changes you have made to your presets as a result of Walk the Dog.

-- You may use the thread rating system as a means of rating the channel itself. You can find it at the top of a thread. Look for "rate thread". 5 stars for excellent, 4 for good, etc.

-- We will announce each week's channels in this thread.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about Walk the Dog, in general, feel free to post them here as well.

If it's alright with you guys, I'll extend Week 2 a couple extra days. I'll announce the Week 3 channels on Sunday, and make Sunday the usual starting date.

Hi everyone-

Don't forget the Super Shuffle, which is only on the "Sirius Internet Radio" now.

I wanted to mention somewhere that they just play random songs, with the title and the artist on the display, but it doesn't say what other channels these artists can be found on like it did on my regular radio receiver display, and the best place to say that would be on a Walk the Dog channel.

I haven't walked the dog since you guys started it again yet, but I plan to.

Good idea... We will include Super Shuffle in a future week of Walk the Dog.
