Stilleto 2 WILL NOT connect to Internet Radio

I have a Stilleto 2 and an Adaptec wireless router (Verizon FIOS). I have never had a problem before today, connecting to Internet Radio. Today, even with a "full" signal, it says "connecting to XXXXX" for about a minute then says 'unable to conect' - it does this whether I'm 3 inches or 35 feet from my router, and in both cases I have a full signal.

I even reentered the WEP key that serves as a password (this worked before) and it still won't connect. I also shut down and rebooted the Stilleto and even took out the battery and did the same.

Interesting. I have the same setup and I can't connect anymore either. Wonder if Verizon changed something....

I found that after a storm, sometimes I have to reboot the router/modem . It might be worth a try.

I finally got it to connect after about 15 tries last night. This morning it took about 10. This evening 2. Strange.

My Observations...

I find when it cannot connect, the simple thing to do is shut down the radio and then restart it usually connects. If you have a scheduled recording to occur when re-booting, sometimes it still does not connect as the radio is trying to do the recording. If I turn off the scheduled recording and then restart again, it normally connects fine.

I've had this problem too.
Verizon FIOS router. Today it took about eight attempts.

When it first occurred I tried changing both the ssid and my password for the router and that seemed to work, but now it's back to taking several times to connect.

All of my drivers are up to date.

Are all of you able to get connected now or is this problem still ongoing? Have any of you contacted Veriszon Customer Support about this?

Mine will log in, it just takes several attempts.
No, not thrilled with having to deal with support call to Verizon.
My unit will connect to other routers quickly, so I'm guessing it's a problem with this particular router.

Not even a password issue. If I turn off all security on router I still have same problem.

I had the same problem and then went to make sure my other wireless devices connected to the router. They did, so it had to be a Stiletto issue. I simply powered down and removed and reinstalled the battery to recycle the Stiletto firmware. Sure enough, the darned thing worked just fine. This has to be a firmware issue.

Good info! Thanks for the post guayuque. If people follow best practices they can avoid some of these little quirks that pop up with the Stiletto line receivers.

I had the same issues. So I done a complete shut down on the SL2 and reset my modem and all is fine now.
