Default Jesse Jackson: "Satellite merger? That's racist!!"

Oh my God, can I hate this person any more... this guy is the worst of humanity. He lives and feeds off racial hatred and division. The sooner him and Sharpton go away, the better.

Well he is entitled to his opinion, but I can't help, but wonder who he sold his soul too in order to make this big declaration. One thing I do know is this man does nothing that doesn't benefit him or the rest of his ass clowns in the Rainbow Coalition.

I disagree with him and find his reasoning to be in line with the same hog wash that has been going around since this thing was announced! Nothing original or new here!

If anything this will make the FCC likely look closer at approving it.

I understand why they would want opportunity for minority ownership, but neither one of these companies will be owned by a single person or by a single majority owner. They are owned by the shareholders.

I think they fail to understand that.

You better believe that the NAB has or will soon make a sizable contribution to the Rainbow Coalition.

Well Shit! Now I'm ALL FOR the merger! Gotta be doing something right if it pisses off this hypocrite.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember Sharpton making some kind of statement FOR the merger, did I dream that?

What's sad is the number of blacks who think they're represented by the likes of Jackson, Sharpton, et al. They've been chained up on the Democrat plantation for a while now, with no real benefits.

I don't know if he did or didn't but I could see him being for the merger because didn't he and XM have a standoff a couple years ago? XM refused(and still refuses) to carry his(Sharpton's) radio network, saying that they already had like programming.

Looks to me that Mel didn't buy an endorsement from Jackson and Co. I also find that I'm in agreement with Jesse for the first time in my life. Jackson's statement WILL NOT go unnoticed.

Boy, didnt see this coming a mile away. From Georgia too. What a shocker. The Neo-Cons even have Jim Bob here talking like them (Democrat plantation). Go check and see if your robes are dry, then go toss some hay hick.

I'm not a neo-con. I'm not even a con. Just someone looking at things a bit more objectively than most. Perhaps you've been conditioned to believe that any statement touching on race automatically brands one a racist. What I said wasn't a racist statement--at least, not nearly as racist as most of the detritus that spews from Jackson every time he opens his mouth.

When you get right down to it, why do most blacks in America vote Democrat? Because they've been taught it's the black thing to do...that the Democratic party really has their best interests at heart. Very few realize what bullshit that kind of thought is. By the same token, most gays vote Democrat for the same reason: they've been taught that everything they want will be handed to them if they vote Democrat...until the Democrat candidates lose elections and stab them in the back...or win elections and stab them in the back. But they continue to vote for them. So do blacks. And on both sides, it is a plantation mentality. "It's all we can do. At least it's not THEM."

But you're far more guilty of what you accuse me of: stereotyping. You assume that, because I live in Georgia, that I must be some agricultural hick who's a KKK member. I live in Atlanta. Last time I checked, that's a city. Hardly any arable land around, much less hay lofts and barns. And the KKK disbanded early the last century. What you see now is a group of ignorants parading around in sheets doing absolutely nothing but pretending they are something. And the only time I've seen that is on tv...the same place you get fed everything you think you know.
