Default NFL Games do they broadcast all games and what networks

New to Sirius as of 5-16. I love it and I am huge Cowboys (NFL) and HUSKERS fan. When they broadcast the games are they just taking like the fox feed or what is the broadcasts like for the NFL? And is it the local stations for college?

Thanks!

It will be both local feeds for the NFL, so you can choose between the Cowboys feed out of their flagship station in Dallas, or their opponents home feed. You'll also get the Bugeaters home feed out of Lincoln.

Go Buffs!

yeah I can't wait for football to start up again this year. I really enjoyed being able to listen to any NFL game I wanted to with sirius. Having sirius is just way cheaper then paying for that NFL sunday ticket that Directv offers. I could never see myself paying almost $200 for that what crap is that. I think that the NFL is ripping people off charging that much, and you still can not get your local home games if they are blacked out. That is pure BS if you ask me pure BS.

Yes, it is the local broadcasts. You can listen to either teams' local broadcast. And the college games are local also. I listened to some of the LSU games and it was the same feed that comes on 98.1 FM out of Baton Rouge.

Can't wait to listen to the Redskins audio while watching them on Directv with the sound turned down.

Default Sirius vs. DirecTV broadcast

Unfortunately, unless you have Tivo for DirecTV, the broadcasts will not be completely sync'd. I believe there is a 5 to 8 second differental in the broadcasts, with Sirius being further back than DirecTV.

Default Cable delay with Sirius broadcasts

Even with the delay the radio commentary is usually more enjoyable. There is only a handful of commentators on TV on sunday that give decent analysis or play by play.

I am juiced for FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!

The NFL broadcasts are the main reason I'm looking at buying my first satellite radio....and obviously why I'm looking at Sirius. I also subscribe to the Sunday Ticket on Dtv. Don't think the price is a ripoff at all considering I'd spend that much to see just 1 game in person.

Woohoo.....first post on Backstage outta the way!

welcome shinner! One selling point was the ability to listen to Vikings games, it truly rocks especially if you can't always be infront of the TV on a Sunday!

thanks...it's my main need because I do end up working alot on weekends when data centers shut down for maintenance. A few years ago it just happened that I ended up working nearly every Sunday of the season...that year my Dtv Sunday Ticket cost was definitely wasted.

Looking to most likely get the new Sportster...and if I get sent out of town for a week or more for work, I'll take it along with me.

I have the high def directivo. I will sync up the Sirius audio with the high def feed. Does anyone know if they will be broadcasting the preseason games? I'm assuming they will. Hail to the Redskins!

Very few preseason games....as it happens I'm a Panthers fan and I don't remember seeing a single preseason game of theirs last season.
