Could make sense, Barry Bonds won't be resigned with the Giants next year and he will want a World Series ring. So the Yankees let go A-Rod, to free up some cash and sign Barry Bonds to get that chance of a World Series ring? But that my opinion.

Bonds would make a fantastic DH, but I can't see him duplicating the type of year that A-Rod is having right now. That said, they could have Bonds a whole lot cheaper than what A-Rod is going to be asking for, but the Yankees would still have to pay over 11 million for his services.

The only way Bonds will hit 50, let alone 40 homers is if he's a DH.

We don't want Bonds on the Yankees, and by the way, even if AROD leaves, we don't have room for him. Giambi is owed 24 million next year and he won't be an every day firstbaseman. We also have an extra outfielder.

Giambi (24mil), Damon (13mil), & Matsui(14mil) are all under contract for next season and all have had to play some DH this year.

The Giants won't be pawning him off, he's a free agent, he'll go where he has the best chance for a ring/most money...maybe not in that order. Who knows...Baroid might be able to play in New York alongside Rocketroid, A-Roid, Giambiroid, and Abreuroid.
