Default Best mix on Boombox this morning (Dec 2nd)

it played around 7:20 am pacific time (10:20 eastern)

the mix included some of my all time favorite old artists. i was in heaven.

chemical brothers - "morning lemon"
meat beat manifesto - "mars needs women"
renegade soundwave - "thunder"
song called "losing control"
song called "i want my planet back"

i missed the remainder of the mix because i had to leave my car to go into work. meat beat and reneage soundwave are two of my first favorite bands. so many memories...

did anyone else hear it, know who did the mix, and if there is a way i can get it?

thanks.

I am sorry I have to disagree!! I think the BOOMBOX is actually a goos station minus the Rap shows and Rap tracks... It is more enjoyable than the BEAT's Gay circuit songs..

nobody probably heard it. trust me, if any sane person heard it they would have thought it was great. no rap was in the mix.

you should know any of you that complain about ANYTHING yet bring up Remix are instantly invalidating your arguement because you are obviously just pissed. you don't even listen to the stations you complain about. just spitting venom on every post you can. go away.

Ok I usually stay quiet and very professional on here and stray away from negativity and those of you that know me know this for a fact. I am really starting to get offended at upset with Sirius_Guy What gives you the right to call myself or any other mixers for that matter a "NO NAME"??

Some of us might not have a "BIG NAME" but that doesn't make us any less credible in the business. I am sure I speak for a lot of the mixers on Sirius right now when it comes to this subject. Sorry I am not Tiesto but I will tell you one damn thing right now I bust my ass and dedicate a lot of time into putting together mixes for Sirius subscribers to listen to.

I am one of the guys that has stuck with Sirius through thick and thin for several years and have always done my best to make ALL the listeners happy I have played everything Freestyle, Trance, Progressive, Tribal and Comercial based upon feedback I have received from listeners. I totally think it is wrong for you to bash any of us since we have dedicated so much time and hard work for you the listener.

In my opinion it appears you are very close minded and unless a DJ has a "BIG NAME" you automatically assume they suck without listening to anything they play or there style of mixing. Myself and a lot of the other guys also do FM stations across the country along with internet shows. Please open your mind more and listen to what we play and how we play it after all we do it for the listeners and no one else.

So because you are from Cali and you have never heard of these names, they automatically are no names? Let me guess, you think Jonathan Peters and DJ Skriblles are the best djs to ever exist. You are an idiot. The ones from the New York area that are on Sirius are well known around here. According to you however, if you haven't heard of them then they are a no name. You probably are the type who thinks House music is Techno. Go back to the beach you fool.

respect to ALL DJ's! i have been defending Boombox like crazy, but i love dj's and mixing and would love to have more of it. either across all the stations currently on the air or getting Remix back. but i must please ask people to stop calling for the death of the breakbeat station. it might not be your favorite genre of electronic music, but for some of us it's our baby and nothing sounds as sweet. thanks.

As a former club/mobile DJ I appreciate what a job you and the others do. Sometimes I love what is on BoomBox, other times not so much. That is why we have so many channels to listen to and real DJ's mixin it. Thank heavens Sirius doesn't do the Clear Channel style of we say its good for you so like it music programming. You guys are doing a fine job. If I don't like the song selection right now I will go to another channel and try back later. Choice gotta love it!

w/what Mike has to say I agree... but yet... i honestly don't want to hear ANYTHING from a "BIG NAME"... it sounds so fake to me (uh oh i just opened a new can of worms) I prefer someone I have never heard of before. I like the fact that i can go home and do the same mix that i hear from these "no name " dj's. something from a "BIG NAME" dj is usually ran thru a computer... edited till it is unrecognizable... and then it is no longer a mix by a dj... it's a compilation by an artist or producer... someone who has a background as a dj or has "dj" before their name, something along those lines... FOR ME... when i think "DJ" i think of 1 dj, 2 turntables (or Cd players) and a mixer... ok now that i said it... let the fighting begin ACTUALLY let me add one more thing... i read an interview w/a BIG NAME dj... he was asked about a new mix he was doin... he admitted that all the songs were going to be remixed to be his originals... then edit them together w/his iMAC... (i'll track down that article and let you go read it yourself when i find it) not one mention of technic 1200's or CDJ 1000's or any other turntable or cd player... i prefer the "smaller" guys who record a LIVE session... anybody can "mix" w/a computer... anybody
