Default Improve The Beat/Area/Strobe

My Thoughts on how to improve these 3 channels..

The Beat... The new music is coming in faster than ever. I'm very happy with the playlist. I just hate Mr. Seth. God he's annoying. Its Gay this, Gay that. I'm Gay. We're all gay.. Enough of him! They could improve The Beat by expanding the Mix fixes to Friday and Saturday Nights. Also some set schedules for some DJ's like Area 33 does with their Top DJ's would be nice and a ONE hour mix for them.

Area 33.... Now that they have Invasion on Saturdays, they should do Dusk Till Dawn again for Friday nights or Sunday.

Strobe.... Where the Freestyle Mixshow?? I thought it was SO popular I'm waiting to hear it. They were suppose to have this show but I guess their waiting for a sign from God.
And please dig deeper into the Classic Dance from the 80's and 90's.

such simple ideas....yet, seems like for Sirius they are the hardest things in the world to see clearly.

As far as the Strobe goes...they really need to expand the playlist. Classic dance is more than Disco and Freestyle. Anyone ever heard of House music? Seems like I remember a thing or two about its popularity...

To be honest Im starting to feel like cancelling Sirius might be the thing to do. I subscribed because of the dance music i wasnt getting locally by living in Long Island. First they take away Remix 62 no problem as long as the expand themixes to the other stations. The new strobe is now basically except for a few minor exceptions a clone of WNEW MIx 102.7 FM here in NY. Which leads me to ask why pay for something I get for nothing and plus the air personalitys on Mix are enjoyable to listen to with Paco Lopez, Breda K Starr, Michelle Vissage and Joe Causi. The mixes on the beat are just the same songs they repeat all through out the day so whats the enjoyment hearing them mixed.

Youa re right my friend....I am flipping way too much with Sirius lately. and not just the dance streams. I have all these other non dance stations in my 3 banks of presets

pulse, hits 1, bbc, shuffle, alt nation, 1st wave, classic rewind, hot jams, heart & soul, backspin, left of center, 80's..and I am still just flipping and flipping. It still seems like every channels has its clique of songs that they repeat every damn day.

for the strobe it is love come down and H.A.P.P. Y and Thomas Crown Affair....and that is so frustrating because Classic Dance should have a minimum 1000 song playlist.

and when Shuffle, which should really NEVER repeat a song in the same week, plays the same songs a coupe days apart...it is really really bad.

This has happened in the past - they update about 30% of The Beat playlist once every 3 months and repeat the added 10 songs together with other old 30 non-stop for another 3 months. But it does not mean you will hear some of the dropped songs again - no, it never happens on The Beat. The playlist count should never be over 40 songs - repeated every 3 hours. Once a song is in - you'll be able to hear it 8-10 times a day for the next 6-8 months. Once it's out, it's out for good.

Sirius just doesn't get it. We dont' want radio stations that have the same method of doing things like traditional radio stations. We don't want computerized track selection systems AT ALL, PERIOD. We want real DJ's hand picking tracks individually according to their own tastes all the time on all stations not based on demographics or anything like that. At least that's what I want.

I've said it before, the worst show on the beat is that terrible Girls Night Out show on Saturday night. Instead of mixing, which is what any dance station should be doing on Saturday night, we get these cackling hens.

Damn i mis the house party on sundays on Remix but even that the playlist was way to small. I would drop the girls nite out crap and put in a mix by Mike Bourdes and Guiseppi D.

LASIRIUSFAN should run the Strobe.

Sirius will simply ignore the list and continue to play Love Come Down every 18 hours.
