I was here a few days ago and I saw you had a store set up. now i am back and i dont see it anymore :\ where did it go?

Sirius has denied us use of their intellectual property. They have inacted a cease and desist order barring us from using the Sirius name or the Dog logo on any fan merchandise.

Thanks. That sucks i was going to get a few things too. what are you going to do with all the stuff that you had made already? Man I hope if they wont let you sell the stuff then they better start selling more stuff not just those black shirts. I guess is Sirius doesn't want free advertising ie. free shirts, decals. i guess they are happy with their 30,000 subs :\

Yes, I feel exactly as you do. Our mission all along has been to generate positive buzz and word of mouth for Sirius.

XM has from the beginning embraced their early adopters. Their growth and success can be contributed largely to this viral marketing machine.

Sirius is definitely taking a more controlled anti-consumer approach. Hopefully they will wake up some day.

If Sirius would be willing to distribute free marketing materials such as stickers and t-shirts on their own that would be great. However, it is damn near impossible to get any logo merchandise or decals from Sirius. This is the message I got from Sirius when requesting some stickers. So much for free walking billboards. Sirius is working hard to kill the evangelist network.

Jeff, maybe you should post some e-mail addresses of the lawyers involved, the board of directors, or even Mr. Clayton himself.

If some of us get involved in a grassroots effort to change thinking at Sirius, maybe they will realize what a valuable resource they have in this board, their loyal customers, and free advertising.

Well, I think it sucks that they denied Jeff rights to use their logo and name... but a cease and desist letter is the proper legal notification to deny it. It's not a threat, it's the proper thing to do.

A post-it stuck in an envelope saying "No... thanks though!" isn't exactly proper denial.
