Artist Alerts / Artist Unavailable

why is it that on certain channels my artist alerts dont come on?

when i press the memo button the artist unavailable comes on?

whats going on because it only seems to happen on octane and lithium?

those artists work on other channels though?

whats the point of artist alert if they dont alert you?

This has been answered a few times,

Basically, since the channel merge, some channels are coming from XM's DC studios, some are from Sirius in NY. Basically all of the songs being broadcasted from XM's studios are not compatible with the seek on Sirius radios, it doesn't have the right info embedded in the songs. Here is a link to a topic that talks about this at DRC.

there is a list of what stations are coming from where, so you can get an idea. Hopefully as time passes they will merge the playlists and make them all seek available.

thank you. i did look for this topic before posting. im sorry i dont have hours and hours of time to search every single key word for every single subject. i the above for the link.
