How To: Factory Reset Sirius Sportster
i know its my first post but i figured this would help out some people...
So to begin with my story, my original sportster was stolen so i picked up a used one from ebay.. turns out the one i picked up had some locked channels... specifically the ones i listen to.. so seeing as the seller was no help i called up sirius and this is how you can reset your sportster if you dont have the lock/unlock code.
press Menu
scroll down to Sirius ID
press and release band
press and release disp
press and hold memo
The unit will now display "Initializing lock code..."
The unit will then shut off
Pull the unit outta the cradle for 10 seconds, put it back in and turn it on
The code has now been restored to "0000" like it came from the factory.
I hope this helps people out!
