Default 2003 PT Cruiser GT Turbo install

Here's my 2003 Pt Cruiser GT Turbo. This is the cleanest possible install. I replaced the factory stereo with the gps navigation stereo and sirius satellite receiver kit. Gotta love 28 character multi line display and never asking for directions or using lame ass mapquest

Hey Brent,
Thanks for joining in and sharing those photos. Definitely one of the slickest OEM interaces I've seen.

Hope to see you around.

Jeff

Thanks for the warm welcome! I didn't like how my previous car looked with an XM skyfi aftermarket receiver. Chrysler offered this rb1 gps navigation unit with sirius radio option so I went with it to keep the stock look. I got hooked up with free activation and the $9.99/month yearly plan. I'm loving the stations so far - the dance and rock stations on sirius are better so far in comparison to XM.

Thanks for the comments

I purchased the head unit - the rb1 navigation system on eBay for $1,000 brand new. It lists for $1600 from mopar chrysler, but just look on eBay for a deal under $1,000. The rb1 navigation system comes with the head unit, gps satellite antenna, and dvd.

For sirius to work, I purchased the tuner package $150.00 (receiver and antenna), and the installation kit for the pt cruiser $106.50 (receiver to stereo cable, mounting bracket, screws).

Here's where I found the sirius parts: http://www.tenaflyjeepmoparparts.com/mosisarasy.html

More information on the rb1 navigation system can be found here: http://www.wjjeeps.com/nav.htm#FEATURES

Let me know if you decide to pick up these parts and throw them in. I'll offer some installation pointers.

It doesn't tilt. The viewing angle is fine but I suppose I could mount it on a tilt if needed.

That is an awsome OEM Sirius radio/navigation setup. There are at least one or two others around that wen for that same radio in their cars. Expensive, but you get what you pay for
