For anyone who has been lucky enough to attend one of these Red River Shootouts in the past, you know how great an experience it is. Not only do you have Texas and Oklahoma football, but the State Fair of Texas is going on right outside the stadium. And this might be one of the last times this game is played at the Cotton Bowl. I'm sure Jerry Jones will try to get the game moved over to his new playground. As for the actual game, I think it could go either way. I really like Sam Bradford and that offense, but Will Muschamp has the Longhorn defense looking really good. Oklahoma is dropping 6.5 points, and that's a tricky line. I might be inclined to give the points.

In addition to that game, you also have LSU playing at Florida, and Oklahoma State going to Missouri (which will probably be the real shootout of the day). Three great match-ups, Saturday should be fun!

I've also added a poll to this thread. With Oklahoma and Texas playing this weekend, I got to thinking of what the best rivalry in college football is (not basketball, Duke/UNC is not included!). Curious as to what you guys think...

Maybe it's my SEC bias... but I'd definitely say Alabama vs. Auburn is the most heated rivalrly in college football. Easily. That is a 365 days a year rivalry! 2nd pick would be Michigan vs. Ohio State. 3rd would be Texas vs. Oklahoma.

Great sports weekend. I'm predicting Oklahoma over Texas, and (surprise) LSU over Florida in a nail-biter.

I'll admit a little bias in my vote as well, though it's probably not the way you'd think a guy from Houston would lean. Growing up with an Ohio State fanatic for a dad, I've seen quite a few of those Wolverine/Buckeye games. That gets my first place vote. After OSU/Michigan, I'd have to slot in the Iron Bowl followed very closely by Notre Dame/USC.
