Government is amoral. It's more of a reflection of society.

For some reason, people are now all worried about what the government takes from us. They didn't seem to mind when Reagan or Clinton raised out taxes.

We're not even having our taxes raised. Obama even kept the middle class tax cuts that GWB pushed for.

We're spending less money. We're gonna make sure everyone has affordable healthcare.

Isn't that part of the Preamble?

Promote the general welfare. To ourselves and our posterity.

Different time. Different era.

We were all afraid of the iron curtain.

I'm all for defence spending. Best social program (programme) ever. We train people & give them life long skills. Give them a place to live. Three hots and a cot.

I was against base closures. Every base that closed caused unemployment in that area.

Reagan used the military to create jobs. He & Bush started the era of base closures.

What we have is a bunch of good ideas that are not funded properly.

Medicare, Medicad, Social Security all good ideas and we can't afford those, that is just one reason why we don't need this healthcare for all.

Why would anyone work? We pay the rent, feed them, free healthcare, free cell phones. The working man is a sucker for working.

Did you see the chart? Is spending going down or up?

Ignoring the issue of what lies you're talking about, why compare Obama to Nagin and Berry, though? Why not compare him to Clinton or Bush?
